Comparisons
to other glue types:
Crazy
& Super Glues: Although they have high tensile
strength (holding power), the sheer strength (elasticity and
shock absorbing power ) is very low.
Epoxies:
They take a long time to set up and cure and are very
expensive. They are usually formulated for a specific
purpose and therefore cannot be considered "all
purpose" glues.
White
/ Yellow glues: Although they work well on some
materials, they are sensitive to heat and cold. They age and
become brittle. They usually require clamping whilst
curing.
Household
glues: They are the closest, but are usually formulated
and labeled for specific uses and
does every job.
